Mourning Joy - 9/11/06

"Widow? Isn't that a terrible word?...It's like a bug. It's yucky."

Meet Charlene Fiore. On September 11, 2001, Char, as she likes to be called, became a member of the club nobody wants to join.

Char's husband was a NY Fireman.

After we remember Him, let's offer a moment of silence to the brave public servants who knowingly walked into the disaster that fateful day. And to all husbands, fathers, grandfathers, wives, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, neighbors, cousins, nieces, nephews, sons, daughters, friends...who went to work and didn't return home that terrible day.

Good Mourning Char and all widows. Welcome to the yucky club. Remember, we're not alone.

And today's Mourning Joy:

Q: Why was the belt arrested?

A: For holding up the pants!

Have a joyful day!
