Mourning Joy - Sunday

Good Mourning Widows!

Joy to you and me!

"Mary Bono (is) the embodiment of powerful American womanhood."

--The Washington Times

Today we honor famous widow, Congresswoman Mary Bono.

In 1998, by special election, Mary was elected to represent the 45th Congressional District of the State of California to fill the seat made vacant by her late husband, Congressman Sonny Bono. She won office with a 67% majority. Among her successes, Mary fought tirelessly to compensate the Torres Martinez Desert Cahuilla Indian Tribe for land lost in 1908. She is responsible for settling "the longest-ever ongoing litigation in the Ninth Circuit Court of California." Mary is an accomplished gymnast, has a passion for music, and is dedicated to physical fitness.

Go, Mary!

After we remember Him, ask the magic question, "What is my passion?"

Then pick up a pen and write about it. You can do it. I know you can. Go.

Today's Mourning Joy:

Q: What's a pickle's all time favorite musical?

A: Hello, Dilly!

Have a joyful day. And remember, we're not alone.
