Mourning Joy

"I feel very adventurous. There are so many doors to be opened, and I'm not afraid to look behind them."

Good Mourning Widows. Joy to you and me!

Today we honor famous widow (yes, she's a widow) Elizabeth Taylor. Taylor was married to Mike Todd -- "The first love of her life" -- He died in a firey plane crash. After Todd's death, Taylor struggled with widow's pain. Despite ill health and several failed marriages, she gave stellar acting performances. (Remember Butterfield 8?) I admire Elizabeth Taylor for her strength, courage, talent, and beauty.

Today, after we remember Him, be adventurous. Open a door, or two, or three. And don't be afraid to peek behind them. Then pick up a pen and write what you see. Or don't see.

Mourning Joy:

Q: What's the best place to see a man-eating fish?

A: In a seafood restaurant.

Have a joyful day. And remember, we're not alone.
