Mourning Joy

Ever notice..."Why people gather when others die? Why people feel they should? It is because the human spirit knows, deep down, that all lives intersect. That death doesn't just take someone, it misses someone else, and in the small distance between taken and being missed, lives are changed."

From the book by Mitch Albom, the five people you meet in heaven, and inscribed "To Linda - Strength, Courage, Peace & Love - Karen." Thank you, Karen Doty, wherever you are.

Good Mourning, Widows!

Joy to you and me.

Today I welcome famous widow, YOU, into the club nobody wants to join. I commend you for your courage, your strength, and your valor, and for getting through one more day without the man you love.

It ain't easy. And I know it.

So, stand up, Ladies. Take a bow.

Applause! Applause! Applause!

You deserve it.

Today, after we remember Him, let's think about how we did it, how we do it. Then pick up a pen. And write it.

Go ahead. I dare you.

Mourning Joy:

Q: What do you get when someone magically creates a snow storm?

A: A wizard blizzard.
(Thank you, Cindy N.)

Have a joyful day. And remember, we're not alone.
