Mourning Joy - Rose McConnell Long

"God, don't let me die. I have so much to do."
--Huey Long

Good Mourning Widows.

Joy to you and me.

Today we welcome famous widow Rose McConnell Long to our joyful club.

Long story short, in 1936, after the assassination of her husband, Huey Long, this famous widow, mother of Russell B. Long and sister-in-law of George S. Long, was elected by special election to the U. S. Senate. Talk about Mourning Joy!

After we remember Him, think. What is it you must do?

Pick up a pen.

Write.

Go for 15 minutes.

Do it.

I dare you.

More Mourning Joy:

Q: Why do squirrels spend so much time in trees?

A: To get away from all the nuts on the ground.

Have a joyful day, Widows. And remember, we're not alone.
