Mourning Joy - Saturday

"I have this tremendous energy. I just loved and love life. I love it today. I never want to die."
--Jayne Meadows
Good Mourning Widows. Joy to you and me.
Today we welcome famous widow Jayne Meadows to our illustrious club. You know, the one nobody wants to join.
Born in China to American missionaries, this fair lady grew up and became Mrs. Steve Allen. She was Steve's creative and business partner for 46 years until his death in 2000.
Jayne lives quietly in retirement in Encino, California.
After we remember Him, be quiet.
Shake your hands and jiggle your feet.
Place your hands, palms up, on your knees.
Close your eyes.
And again.
Hear the thump-thump-thump of your heart.
Allow thoughts to loop your brain.
like whisps of smoke --
Allow thoughts out.
Open your eyes.
Now write.
Make a journal entry.
Write about the love of your life.
Write about your life.
Go ahead. I dare you.
Mourning Joy:
Q: What is black and yellow and goes zzub, zzub?
A: A bee flying backwards.
"If at first you don't succeed--try setting more realistic goals."
Have a joyful day Widows. And remember, we're not alone.
Write from my heart *to yours*,
