Mourning Joy - Sunday

"Don't follow any advice, no matter how good, until you feel as deeply in your spirit as you think in your mind that the counsel is wise."

"He who limps is still walking."

"I have no methods; all I do is accept people as they are."

"I succeeded by saying what everyone else is thinking."

"If God wanted us to bend over, he'd put diamonds on the floor."

"Once you believe there is 'help out there,' you will know it to be true."
--Joan Rivers

Good Mourning Widows! Joy to you and me.

Today we welcome Joan Rivers to our joyous club -- the one nobody wants to join.

Born Joan Sandra Molinsky, Joan resided in Larchmont for a time and later married Edgar Rosenberg. Famous for her one-liners, she makes us laugh -- at ourselves. Joan's husband commited suicide.

Among her charities, Joan supports Guide Dogs for the Blind.

After we remember Him, let's give thought to advice, still walking, succeeding, diamonds on the floor, and help out there. Then pick up a pen. Write from the heart.

Go ahead. I dare you.

Mourning Joy:

Q: What is a mosquito's favorite type of sport?

A: Skin diving.

Have a joyful day Widows! And remember, we're not alone.

Write from my heart,
