Mourning Joy

"Filipinos don't wallow in what is miserable and ugly. They recycle the bad into things of beauty." --Imelda Marcos

Good Mourning Widows. Joy to you and me.

Today we welcome Imelda Marcos to our joyous club, the club nobody wants to join.

Born Imelda Romualdez to impoverished parents, in 1954 Imelda became Mrs. Ferdinand Marcos after an 11 day romance.

Controversial, rich, powerful -- It is rumored Imelda masterminded the shady financial dealings attributed to her husband.

Who cares!

After the death of Ferdinand, Imelda ran for President of the Philipines and lost.

It is reported that Imelda owned more than 3,000 pairs of shoes.

After we remember Him, let's pick up a pen. And write.

Write about the good in your life. Write about the bad. Run, don't walk to your closet -- Count your shoes!

Write from your heart. Go ahead. I dare you.

Mourning Joy:

Q: What is the best year for a kangaroo?

A: Leap year.

Have a joyful day Widows. And remember, we're not alone.

Write from my heart,
