Mourning Joy

Good Mourning Widows!
JOY to you and me.
Today we welcome famous widow Robyn Smith Astaire to our joyous club. You know, the club nobody wants to be a member of.
Phyllis was wife of famous dancer, actor, funny man, Fred Astaire. She was the first female jockey to win a major horse race in the United States in 1973.
Robyn retired from horse racing in 1980 and married Fred, 55 years her senior. He died in 1987 at age 88.
"After Astaire had passed away, his widow allowed footage of him to be used in a commercial for 'Dirt Devil' vacuum cleaners in which he dances with a vacuum. His daughter stated she was saddened that after his wonderful career he was sold to the devil."
After we remember Him, finger hug your pen. Write something.
Go for ten minutes.
Go ahead. I dare you.
More Mourning Joy:
Q: What did the mayonnaise say to the mustard?
A: Close the door, I am dressing!
Have a joyful day Widows. And remember, we're not alone.
