Welcome Dreama Perry Denver *Mrs. Bob Denver*

"Bob was my greatest teacher. My everything. The tapestry of the life we created together will fill my heart forever. Everything good in my life is a result of living with this intelligent, gentle man. I am so proud to have been his wife."
--Dreama Perry Denver

Good Mourning Widows! Joy to you and me.

Today we welcome famous widow Dreama Perry Denver wife of famous actor and star of Gilligan's Island fame Bob Denver to our joyous club -- That's right -- The equal opportunity club what nobody wants to join.

Dreama met Bob at a Woody Allen rehearsal of "Play it Again, Sam." They married in 1977. Both said, "It was love at first sight."

Dreama is a poet and web designer.

Mourning Joy:

Mary Mary quite contrary

How does your garden grow?

With silver bells, and cockle shells.

And one stupid potato.

Mourning Quote:

And from the poem, "Animals" by Frank O'Hara

"...O you were the best of all my days."

After we remember Him, finger hug your pen.

What were the best of all your days?

Why not write about it?

Go ahead.

I dare you.

Have a joyful day Widows.

And remember, we're not alone.

  1. Linda,
I know you will probably "poo-poo" this post, but you are truly one of my favorite writers. Your blog is unique, informative and touching. What a sense of solace you are for other widows and widowers.

Don't ever stop "finger-hugging" your pen. I dare you.

    You are a true poet...
