Welcome Joan Dangerfield (Mrs. Rodney Dangerfield)

"Although Rodney has transcended this physical plane, what he stands for -- Kindness, humor, humility, and heroic struggle against all odds -- remains, and is the essence of the human experience. Rodney will always represent what it feels like for all of us to crave a little respect."
--Joan Dangerfield

Good Mourning Widows.

Joy to you and me.

Today we welcome famous widow Joan Dangerfield wife of famous comedian Rodney Dangerfield to our joy-ful club.

That's right Widows, the club nobody wants to join.

Price of Admission: One husband -- YOURS -- Sorry, no refunds.

Joan Dangerfield founded Jungle Roses, the business of importing amazon sized roses before her marriage to Rodney in 1993.

"In celebration of his great life and with deep sadness for his irreplaceable loss," Joan Dangerfield established a Rodney Dangerfield Fund at UCLA "to honor his memory.
The funds will be used to support clinical research and education in the field of cardiac surgery for advanced heart disease."

Mourning Joy:

Q: What do you call a country where all the automobiles are pink?

A: A pink carnation.

Mourning Quote:

"The whole pasture looked like our meal
We didn't need speedometers
We could manage cocktails out of ice and water

I wouldn't want to be faster or greener than now

You were with me
O you were the best of all my days."
--From "Animals" by Frank O'Hara.

After we remember Him, fingerhug your pen.

Write something. Make a JOY-nal entry.

Do it.

I dare you.

Have a joy-filled day Widows. And remember, we're not alone.
