Welcome Helen Elman (Mrs. Mischa Elman)

"The stomachs were empty, the homes barren, but the minds crammed with the riches of Torah."
--Abraham Joshua Heschel
Today we honor and welcome famous widow Helen Elman wife of famous Ukranian-born violinist Mischa Elman into our joy-ous club. That's right Widows. The club what no body wants to joy-n. Ever. Price of admission: One Husband -- YOURS! -- Sorry. No Refunds.
Would that we could, we'd gladly hit the exit door. And not look back.
Little is known about Helen. She died February 7, 1994 having outlived Mischa by 27 years.
Mourning Joy:
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
All the kings horses
And all the kings men
Ate scrambled eggs for 2 weeks.
Mourning Quote:
"There is really only one success--to be able to spend your life in your own way."
--Christopher Morley
After we remember Him, open your JOY-nal. Fingerhug your pen.
Write something.
Write about success --
Someone else's.
Who do you know who recently succeeded in doing something?
Go ahead. Write about that.
I dare you.
Have a joy-filled day Widows. And remember, we're not alone.
