Barbara Cooke (Mrs. Sam Cooke)

"The King of Soul"
Good Mourning, Widows. Joy to you and me.
Welcome famous widow, Barbara Cooke, wife of famous rythmn and blues singer, Sam Cooke, to our joy-ous club.
Sam Cooke was was born January 22, 1931 in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He was brutally murdered on December 11, 1964. He was 33 years old.
"He founded both a record label and a publishing company as an extension of his careers as a singer and composer. He also took an active part in the Civil Rights Movement (Greene, 2006), paralleling his musical ability to bridge gaps between black and white audiences."
Less than 3 months after Sam Cooke's death, Barbara Cooke married his manager, Bobby Womack.
Is it true Womack wore Cooke's blue suit, black shoes and sunglasses when he showed up at the courthouse to obtain his wedding license?
