Amy Kuehl (Mrs. David C. Kuehl)

"Lots of times, in the middle of the night, he was the first person I called when I had any trouble. He constantly kept asking me out and I kept saying no because I wanted to stay good friends. I didn't want to ruin the friendship. But we got together anyway." --Amy Kuehl

Good Mourning, Widows. Joy to you and me.

Today we welcome famous widow, Amy Kuehl, wife of famous Army Staff Sgt. David C. Kuehl, to our joy-ous club. The club no one wants to joy-n.

Amy became a widow on May 22, 2007. On that day, her beloved husband, Army Staff Sgt. David. C. Kuehl, age 27, from Wahpeton, ND, was killed by a roadside bomb in Taji, working to keep you and me free.

Amy has their two daughters, Kiley, 7 years old, and Messa, 9 months, to see her through her grief journey.

To Amy, Kiley, and Messa: Sincerest condolences. Blessings, always. Thank you for making the Supreme Sacrifice. We wish you mourning joy all the days of your lives.

Mourning Joy:

Q: What's green and camps?

A: Boy Sprout

Mourning Quote:

You may have no glamorous occasion to attend, no escape to look forward to and nothing special in mind for lunch, but it's a beautiful day. The magic sneaks up on you when you least expect it. --Taken from a Horoscope for Gemini

After we remember Him, open your joy-nal. Set the timer for ten. Fingerhug your pen.

It is said that one door shuts, another door opens. Perhaps in walks a friend. What magic in your life sneaked up when you least expected it?

Write something.

Go ahead.

I dare you.

Have a joy-filled day, Widows. And remember, we're not alone.
