Nina Nikolayevna Andreevskaya Kandinsky (Mrs. Wassily Kandinsky)
"We fell in love at first sight." --Nina Kandinsky
Good Mourning, Widows. Joy to you and me.
Today we honor famous widow, Nina Nikolayevna Andreevskaya Kandinsky, wife of famous Russian artist WassilyKandinsky, into our joy-ous club.
Nina claims Wassily Kandinsky was 27 years older than her. Wassily was born in 1869, possibly 1866, and died in 1944.
After the death of Wassily, Nina founded the Kadinsky Fund for studying, exhibiting and preserving her husband's work.
Nina never remarried. But, because of her extreme wealth, she was surrounded by men and she delighted in that.
Nina was murdered in 1983. Her body was found in her villa in Switzerland. Her murderers were never apprehended.
In her memoir, Nina wrote that her and Wassily's first meeting was by telephone and that Wassily was so impressed by her voice, he painted a watercolor and titled it, "To the Unknown Voice."
Q: What's covered in feathers and cracks jokes?
A: A comedi-hen
(Black) is like the silence of the body after death, the close of life.- Wassily Kandinsky, 1911
After we remember Him, fingerhug your pen. Open what I lovingly refer to as a "Joy-nal" and set a timer for ten minutes. Think about today's quote, look at today's picture painted by Wassily Kadinsky. What thoughts loop your brain? Let the words pass through your heart, out your fingers and pen, and onto the blank page.
Go ahead. Write something. I dare you.
Have an abundantly joy-filled day, Widows. And remember, we're not alone.
