"As time goes along, you think, it will be easier, I can handle it."--Patricia Gilroy
Welcome famous widow, Patricia Gilroy, wife of famous NY Police Officer Stephen Gilroy, to the club nobody wants to join.
It was 35 years ago Shuaib Raheem gunned down Officer Stephen Gilroy in a Brooklyn store, during a botched armed robbery. It was January 1973 and the place was John & Al's Sporting Goods in Williamsburg. Gilroy was age 29.
Shuaib Raheem was tried and convicted and sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for this crime. Previously he had been up for parole and it was denied five times. Last week it was announced Raheem will be set free causing outrage from Gilroy's widow and the PBA. Based on the impact of this announcement, Parole officials are willing to reconvene and reexamine the matter.
To Mrs. Patricia Gilroy, Griefcase extends sincerest condolences.

After we remember Him, fingerhug your pen. Open what I lovingly refer to as a joy-nal, and write something. Go ahead. I dare you.
Have a joy-filled day, Everyone. And remember, we're not alone.
